2020 was born 23 days ago, am still on time for my “Word”.
My word selection for 2019 was “travels”. Believe me I did very well, just say I graduated with honors, indeed.
Where did I travel: 2019 started with Alsace, Paris, Normandy, Brittany, the Alps, this was for France. After that international destinations: Canada, USA and ended my target in the Netherlands. All these trips have been source of memorable moments with family and dearest friends.
This slide-show will give you a better idea:
Now, this 2020 my word will be:
“Serenity”
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
―
I won’t be long to explain why, just read Lao Tzu’s quote and you will understand my choice.
Also, look at the underneath photo and you will understand even more.
And you, have you selected a word for 2020? Tell me about it.
Love your words! I have indeed chosen my 1LW for 2020. Will explain in a letter to you. 🙂
Looking forward to reading your letter, Chandra.
How beautiful. You sure lived your word for 2019. I love serenity and your photo is perfect. Best wishes for 2020
“Serenity” will be have to be granted this year! Thank you for stopping by, Christine.
I think serenity sounds like a wonderful word for the year and the photo is perfect.
Val, if you think the photo is fine, therefore I have at least reached the first step of the targeted word. 😉
Great guiding words, Louise. ‘Serenity’ has been my word for most of my adult life. 🙂 Peace of mind!
Sometimes, Life doesn’t help to reach “serenity” but one has to stick to that word. Hugs from France, Eliza.
You certainly lived up to your word ‘travel’ last year. I hope you find lots of ‘examples’ of Serenity this coming year. That’s a wonderful word. I’ll have to work on mine…hmmm
Tried to do my best in 2019, I must admit it was an easy task. No starts the “Serenity” challenge.
Wonderful words, wonderful quote, wonderful aspirations! Wonderful life 🙂 Thanks for sharing Louise!
… and sharing is wonderful as far as I am concerned, specially when sharing is with dear Friends 😉
Thank you for this, Louise. My word for 2020 is “trust” — I looked for the opposite of anxiety, and that is the word I found that seemed to fit best. I can calm my anxiety by simply trusting in the way the day will flow, trusting in my decisions and judgments, I will be able to be less anxious.
Trust in a sense is a kind of synonym to serenity, isn’t it. We are on the same wave, mon amie 😉
