“The only ship you can truly steer in this ocean is the one you’re sailing. Quit trying to alter the winds; harness them.”
~ Richelle E. Goodrich
Winter is still sharing our days, for you who are experiencing snow and extreme chilly temperatures, rain and strong winds, and even for luckier ones, sun and warm weather… I have chosen a few quotes about sailing together with some photos I took some time ago. I hope that these colors will cheer you up. Now, let’s go on board!
“You’ll take from life just the life you live…”
~ Henry Irla
“The goal is not to sail the boat, but rather to help the boat sail herself.”
~ John Rousmaniere
“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.”
~ William Arthur Ward
“It’s out there at sea that you are really yourself.”
~ Vito Dumas
“I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky.
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by.”
~ John Masefield
“To reach a port we must set sail –
Sail, not tie at anchor
Sail, not drift.”
~ Franklin D. Roosevelt
“I can’t control the wind but I can adjust the sail.”
~ Ricky Skaggs
“He that will not sail till all dangers are over must never put to sea.”
~ Thomas Fuller
“The cure for anything is saltwater – sweat, tears, or the sea.”
~ Isak Dinesen
Ces photos sont tout simplement SUPERBES! Les couleurs égaient la morosité du ciel picard. Merci pour ce partage. Lydie
Merci beaucoup. Contente de savoir que les couleurs ont fait leur effet! Bonne fin de journée!
“The sea’s only gifts are harsh blows, and occasionally the chance to feel strong. Now I don’t know much about the sea, but I do know that that’s the way it is here. And I also know how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong but to feel strong. To measure yourself at least once. To find yourself at least once in the most ancient of human conditions. Facing the blind deaf stone alone, with nothing to help you but your hands and your own head. ” Christopher McCandless, Into the wild. Bon week-end Louise, merci pour ces belles photos!
“Into the Wild” est un pur chef d’oeuvre. La recherche du “vrai” n’est-elle pas fondamentale? Bonne fin de journée, Isabelle et merci de ta visite.
Quelles belles citations, complétées par celle de Koalisa d’Into the Wild, merci ! Bon week-end ! ♥
J’avais besoin et envie de mettre un peu de couleurs au milieu de cet hiver pluvieux et venteux…de ton côté c’est le froid et la neige. En fait, il n’y a rien de parfait :). Bon dimanche, bisous!
